NPTU's October Monthly Meeting featuring JimmyO's Bait and Tackle
Naugatuck-Pomperaug Trout Unlimited will hold its monthly chapter meeting on Wednesday October 3rd at the ION Bank Community Center Building, 270 Church St., Naugatuck. Meetings run from 7 - 9 p.m, doors open at 6:30 for pizza, refreshments, and a raffle. Meetings are free and open to the public.
Jimmy and Ryan will talk about inshore Striped Bass fishing. Jimmy has been fishing Long Island Sound and the east coast for over 40 years, and is an avid surf fisherman. Ryan has been fishing throughout New England for the past 25 years. While they have spent countless hours fishing on boats, both of their true passions lies with our feet on land. Some of the topics we will cover will be: Locations, tackle, lure and/or bait selection, as well as the need to adapt with changing fishing conditions.
Also, from November through March, on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th (& sometimes 5th) Wednesdays of the month, Naugatuck-Pomperaug Trout Unlimited, holds Fly Tying Workshops at the Stop and Shop community room, 100 Main St. S., Southbury, from 6:45 to 9:00 p.m. Classes are free and open to the public.
