NPTU's January Monthly Meeting with speaker Tristan Wilgan

The monthly meeting of the Naugatuck-Pomperaug chapter of Trout Unlimited is set for 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. January 8, 2020 at the Beacon Falls Senior Center, 57 North Main St., Beacon Falls, CT. Doors open @ 6:30, pizza will be provided.

 

This month’s speaker will be Tristan Wilgan, who will give a presentation on “Trout fishing on small streams-tactics and techniques”. Tristan has been fishing Connecticut streams and rivers since age 3, at age 20 he became a licensed guide and guides part time for Housatonic River outfitters. He has also appeared on Yankee Fisherman. Tristan is currently a Marketing major at Western Connecticut State University.

 

Also, for the months of November through March, on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, Naugatuck-Pomperaug Trout Unlimited holds a fly tying workshop at the Stop & Shop community room, 100 Main St, South, Southbury from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Classes are free and open to the public. Beginners welcome. Tools and material are available for those who do not have any.
